Berna Ayvadzhi began her inner journey at the tender age of five, when the death of her mother set the stage for a profound exploration of life’s deeper meanings. This early encounter with death sparked a lifelong quest for healing, purpose, and self-discovery.
A pivotal moment came in 2013 when she discovered yoga. What began as a physical practice quickly evolved into a sacred space for emotional and spiritual growth. Yoga became her sanctuary—a place where she could reconnect with herself, draw strength from ancient wisdom, and cultivate resilience. Through its mindful practices, she discovered the transformative power of self-awareness and the possibility of healing from within.
Her experience with yoga not only nurtured her own transformation but also awakened in her a passion to share this path with others. Berna’s journey stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the depth of growth that can arise from life’s most challenging moments.
In 2015, Berna moved to London with her sister. Driven by a desire to explore both language and the layers of her own being, she found London to be a multicultural haven that fueled both personal and professional growth. Immersed in the city’s diverse energy, Berna deepened her spiritual practices through travels to India for advanced yoga training and to Thailand to study Buddhist teachings. She also dedicated time to volunteer at Kagyu Samye Dzong Tibetan Buddhist Center in South London, enriching her understanding of mindfulness and compassion.
In June 2017, during a family visit to Istanbul, a serendipitous encounter onboard a plane changed her life. It was there that she met her breathwork mentor—a meeting that opened a profound new chapter in her journey. Breathwork revealed itself as a powerful tool for healing, enabling Berna to explore the body’s capacity to carry, process, and release trauma. Between travels to London and Istanbul, she devoted herself to studying and practicing this modality, deepening her expertise in the transformative potential of conscious breathing.
The year 2019 brought both challenges and moments of grace. When her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, in a heartfelt act of solidarity, she shaved her hair—a gesture that symbolises strength, unity, and deep love. Despite their efforts, her beloved grandmother died, an event that prompted Berna to leave London and be fully present during her grandmother’s final days.
This experience of death became yet another turning point, further sharpening her understanding of life’s fragility and the healing power of presence. In the wake of this event, life led her to a profound new path: a collaboration with Inner Mastery. Invited to explore the method of Inner Evolution—founded by visionary teacher Alberto Varela—Berna began integrating this delicate yet powerful approach into her own growth journey. Through the Inner Evolution Method, she gained deeper insight into the relationship between body, breath, and emotional transformation, supported by the conscious use of ancestral medicines.
